Finding a Real Spell

So you are learning Magick and you want to find real spells, but what is a spellall Can anyone cast a spell? Is it like Harry Potter where I just say a few funny words, wave my wand around and "poof" what I want appears? Of course not. But there are spells out there that really work.

We need to define, what is a spell? Dictionary.com defines a spell as "a word, phrase, or form of words supposed to have magic power; charm; incantation: The wizard cast a spell; a state or period of enchantment: She was under a spell; any dominating or irresistible influence; fascination: the spell of fine music." So a spell is words (and actions) used to focus energy to influence a desired result.

We need to understand, what is the difference between white Magick and black Magick? White Magick spells use positive energy while Black Magick spells use negative energy to accomplish the result. It is the intent of the caster that determines if the energy gathered is white or black. If you are attempting to control the free will of someone else, then black Magick is your intent. It is important to remember the Wiccan Threefold Law: Whatever is cast, returns to the caster threefold.

We need to determine, what type of spell will give us the results we desire? There are many types of spells including love, protection, money, success, health, confidence, focus, or revenge.

We need to research, where do we look for spells? There are lots of resources to find spells.

Google: Searching online web pages for spells can be daunting because you have to sift through all the junk spells that offer outrageous claims. Plus, there are so many sites that are only trying to sell you their services while offering nothing practical.

YouTube: You can find real spells on YouTube and what is even better is that many videos show you the steps for the spell. But there is also a great deal of misleading titles or descriptions that turn out to be advertisements.

Bookstores: There are many good bookstores that offer spell books like Barnes and Noble or Borders. They offer a pretty wide variety. Online bookstores like Amazon.com offer everything but if you are like me, you want to peruse the book first to see if it contains the spells that you are looking to cast.

Metaphysical shops: Hit or miss on finding good spell books. Some shops are mega stores with everything you could possibly need to practice Magick while others are specialty shops with limited space for spell books.

Libraries: Many public libraries have good selections but of course, you have to return the books at some point. Some public libraries have video sections where you might find spell casting demonstrations.

We need to know, can anyone cast a spell? Yes! Anyone can cast a spell. The only requirement is that you truly believe the spell will work. Your belief is what gathers the energy required to cast the spell. The spell itself is a tool to focus that energy to accomplish the result that you desire.
